Throughout the 1980’s and 90’s, Debbi Parks and Norman Higgins ‘amused’ themselves inventing piano duets for Ballet Class which they marketed under the company name Norman Higgins Music Ltd .  Beginners Please! was produced in collaboration with renowned Cecchetti teacher Nesta Brooking to accompany her own specific exercises for young beginner ballet dancers. The music is original and very easy to follow in both melody and phrasing, perfect in tempo and quality for the typical exercises used in any baby or young children’s ballet class and includes some longer continuous pieces for skipping, marching galloping etc,  which will be useful for corner work in partners. The class concludes with some imaginative pieces for free expression and mime –  spiders, tortoises, princesses etc. This Archive recording has been lovingly remastered to delight today’s young dancers with some fun and lively piano duets..
